Its Christmas break! We've been to the Quad Cities and Des Moines to see family and now we're back in the 'ville, relaxing and resting in our own home.

I (Sarah) go back to work on January 3 and I'm starting to look forward to it again. I have slept a lot this break and that has been really good for me. I've also began to journal regularly and have been more at peace with my life in general. I'm reading Created to be his helpmeet and so far have been enjoying the book - though the author has quite a few bold statements. But I've taken them with an open heart and processing what those will look like for me in my marriage.

Mark and I are almost done with our Bible reading plan for the year and then hope to do a Messianic prophecy study together. does anyone have any good ideas of a guide for us to use?

Anyways, that's all for now. hope you have a great weekend and a happy new year!

I (Sarah) officially had my first snow day in 6 years! I slept in, had a really long quiet time, and peacefully worked this afternoon.

amen!

my parent's have been to kirksville...

Mom and Dad arrived on Thursday night in time for dinner and spent their days with us until Saturday at 1:30. It was so good to see them - they got to come to school - see my room, go to a football game; they got to see CCF and spend some time with the Belzers at the homecoming parade; we got to just sit and talk and catch up. And they saw our place! It was just a good visit all around.

Yesterday I vegged out at the truman volleyball games - and graded tests of course. Why you might ask! because first quarter at putnam county just ended on friday! can you believe it, I've been teaching for 9 weeks already!

This week will bring parent teacher conferences, last home football game, and another saturday class. it should be a good week!

Ahh October

I love fall!

Today's weather - gorgeous!

Mark and I had a great time catching up with the Wilsfords this weekend. Its fun when old friends can come back to hang out in town for a bit!

We also went on a date - just the two of us - and saw a great movie - the Guardian. We recommend it!

Have a great week!
